Here comes a long one...

Why? Because this is what has happened so far ever since I found out about Daivd...

Wow. Ever since I found out David Lance likes me, about five guys showed pity for me. Like Max, Ryan, Phoenix, Roberto, and most recently, Joey. Poor Joey has to sit next to him when he carpools and Joey claims David constantly breathes in his face, poses as comic relief, has a bad haircut, wears shorts and tucks in his shirt, is downright scary [[emphasized in the past few weeks]], and, well, is really mean. Seriously. And I learned his mom’s a cop and just recently we discovered that she was talking trash about us. Jeez. Let me define genetics. So, in retrospect, and just now, adding Caitie, who is not a guy, that makes up six people. Five of them being guys. Max, Ryan, Phoenix and Roberto said I needed bodyguards. [[Them? Phoenix seemed to survive David the first time.]] Joey and I came up with a bunch of ideas like yo-yoing [[retarded]], having a shoe for boyfriend [[bad kisser]], and Joey even thought of pretending to be my boyfriend [[even worse kisser?]] We agreed I was too tall for him. Then again, I’m too tall for David Lance, too. Moreover, should David want, uh, “evidence”, and we can’t supply it… Well, we’d be screwed now, wouldn’t we?
So, I thought I could just borrow Joe Jonas [[who is taller than me, nicer and funnier than David, has nice hair, and eyes, and whatnot.]], which is pretty much like Joey’s idea of me having an imaginary boyfriend.

Joey just told me to [[pretend to]] hate comic books because David likes them. That’s a no. I think comic books are okay. I guess. When I asked Joey what kind of comics, he replied, “Oh he makes his own.”

...

I’ll make a note of that one. Kudos to you, Sparky. Kudos to you.

I think I may have been wrong about the amount of guys at this school. This one guy in Music with me… Keith Mays… He’s pretty stupendous. He plays guitar and likes the Plain White T’s. I just wonder what he’s like. He’s on Ted and Kay’s team, and he has Engineering as well. I know Kay and Michelle. And Ted. [[!]] Maybe they know what he’s, erm, “like”? But I’ll definitely ask someone for advice. Ms. Moran and Mr. Davis already helped me with my, ehem, “David” situation, but what would they have to say about trying to get to know Keith better? Maybe Ray can help? He seems shy. But polite! I mean, how many guys his age still say “excuse me” before they ask you what time it is or whatnot? Keith, obviously. I don’t recall having met very many. He’s tall. Tall as in taller than Justine. At least 5’10”, but no taller than 6’0”. He has long light brown hair. It’s not really long, like Chris or Javi’s, but long enough to call long. I don’t know what color his eyes are yet. I don’t remember having made eye contact with him. But they’re either brown or blue. Possibly hazel. It would be so awesome if his eyes were grey, but I don’t think they are. He seems to be making some sort of effort though. But how could I say that with my past in this sort of thing? But asking for the time… I just felt it. And I could feel his eyes looking after me when I walked down the halls yesterday. Or maybe he wasn’t watching me. Still, I didn’t want to look back and check…

I found Keith’s MySpace on Saturday [[the system works!]]. It took him about a minute or two to find out who I was. Less than two. Scary fast? Scary slow? Scary okay? Who knows? As soon as I said I had the red sunburst Carver with the whammy bar, he knew me right away. I’m asking Angie [[Guerrero]] for advice today. And maybe I should ask Ms. Perez about him, too…
Wait a minute!
Am I on a quest to find out the opinion of every teacher in this school and their opinion of Keith?

I suspect so.

I talked to Kay during lunch. We had such a nice talk! She told me that Keith is really quiet and reserved. Another reason to really keep it together around him. No biggie. I can do that. I think. Kay also understands. She says Keith’s sort of hard to approach. We don’t really know why, but we agree. We just don’t know why.
Music is going amazingly. Bryanna and I are writing a song; we already have a lot of the first verse. Just less than five more lines, and we can finally move onto either working on a bridge or a chorus.

Stay tuned.
