Congrats on the swim meet! Way to go! I know how you feel about those meets though. I never liked those types of things either. Still don't. Like your dad said, keep swimming though and do the meets but only if you want to. I'll check out your links to other musicians/friends later. My guitar teacher is going to teach me how to play slide guitar this year. Can't wait. Gotta run. Heather
I think soul is more R & B, like the stuff out of Detroit in the 50's and 60's. Like, Aretha Franklin, James Brown etc. And then the Rap and Hip Hop styles of today. Where as straight up Blues to me is more wailing guitar. Like Eric Clapton. Not as much of a dance vibe as Soul.
My guitar lesson isn't until this afternoon. Can't wait. I'll let you know how it goes or if we get into Slide guitar today.
